XBRLBlock is an Excel function provided by XBRLAnalyst for getting text blocks from XBRL reports. Its syntax is very similar to XBRLFact but you need to consider 2 main differences:

  1. Input concept should be TextBlock concept. For finding their list for a given company, please see example (available in Corporate version only)
  2. Output text could be returned in different forms, which is specified in Settings (second screenshot). The location where the text is returned, could be controlled with the last parameter of XBRLBlock (see attached Excel example).


Please note that Excel 2013 doesn’t support old WebBrowser format anymore. So you should change it to PlainText or something else in Settings.
