Total 10,000 + companies filing XBRL reports to SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission)
8000+ active companies listed on US stock exchanges and Over-the-counters (NYSE, NASDAQ, OTCBB, etc.)
June 2009 onward for Large Accelerated Filers with $5B+ in float
From June 2010 2011 onward for all other for Large Accelerated Filers ($750M+ in float)
From June 2010 2011 onward for all other filers
Rules above apply to all US filers and foreign filers using US-GAAP accounting principles for financial reporting to SEC
Retrieving fundamental data in Excel
There are 3 main methods for getting fundamental data in Excel with XBRLAnalyst:
Built-in Excel functions: FinValue, XBRLFact. In addition to these 2 main functions, there are some advance functions intended to retrieve more structured data (FinStatement, XBRLPivot, etc.)tatement, XBRLPivot, etc.). Financial Explorer and Document Viewer allow conveniently browsing and viewing financial reports of all companies in the database directly in Excel. Screening and Comparing reports available on XBRLAnalyst Ribbon in Excel. These reports allow either benchmarking or searching multiple companies by their financials. For more information, view “Quick Start” interactive guide on XBRLAnalyst Ribbon in Excel or video tutorials on the Website;
